Deep Work Accelerator: Build Unbreakable Concentration in 30 Days
Regain control of your life and finally turn your ambitions into real accomplishments. Join the next cohort of attentioneers rebuilding their focus through practice, not theory.
TL;DR Version
Your Problem:
You can't focus for more than 10 minutes without checking something. Important projects sit unfinished while you drown in busywork. You're exhausted but unaccomplished.
What This Is:
A 4-week bootcamp where you practice deep work while doing your actual work. No theory. No extra time needed. Just you, your projects, and guided group sessions that build your focus from 30 minutes to 2 hours.
The Irony:
If you're too distracted to read this whole page... that's exactly why you need this. (But we respect the hustle—scroll down for the full details when you're ready.)
(Long Version)
The average knowledge worker wastes 21.5 hours every week on shallow work and distractions
That's over 1,000 hours per year—literally half your working life—spent bouncing between tabs, responding to notifications, and sitting through pointless meetings. Meanwhile, the important projects that would actually advance your career gather dust.
You're drowning in distraction:
- ×Long days, little to show. You work long hours but end every day wondering what you actually accomplished.
- ×Big dreams on hold. The book, the product, the side project — they sit on the shelf while busywork eats your time.
- ×Interruptions shatter your focus. Each ping or notification pulls you off track, and it takes forever to claw your way back.
- ×Stress replaces satisfaction. You're constantly "on," yet behind, and the thought of catching up feels impossible.
- ×You've lost trust in your ability to focus. You tell yourself, "I just can't do deeply focused work," and it feels true.
- ×Life feels out of your control. You're spinning your wheels, working harder than ever, but drifting further from the life you want.
You're working harder than ever, but spinning your wheels. And deep down, you know this isn't sustainable.
You with real focus:
- ✓Complete a week's worth of work by Tuesday afternoon.
- ✓Launch that side project you've been dreaming about for years.
- ✓Leave work at 5PM with energy for family, hobbies, and life.
- ✓Write the book, build the product, or create the course that changes your life.
- ✓Feel calm and in control instead of constantly behind.
- ✓Finally tackle the big, scary, important work that actually moves the needle.
- ✓Watch colleagues wonder how you "do it all" when you're working half the hours.
This transformation doesn't require superhuman discipline, just the right approach to building focus.
The Deep Work Myth
You've heard about this mythical state of "deep work" where people with laser-sharp focus produce weeks of output in days, write books while running companies, and somehow finish their important projects while everyone else drowns in email.
But when you try it, you barely last 10 minutes before checking your phone. So you think, "I could never do deep work—I'm already struggling after just a few minutes."
Here's what nobody tells you: You don't need to have great concentration to start doing deep work.
In fact, deep work is what teaches you how to concentrate.
There are many methods to choose from—meditation, distraction-blocking apps, productivity systems—but the act of doing deep work is one of the most effective ways to practice better focus. Why? Because you're training your attention while accomplishing meaningful work. You're not just practicing focus in isolation; you're building the skill while creating real value.
You're seeing tangible results almost immediately.
Introducing The Deep Work Accelerator:
Your Focus Training Bootcamp
Deep Work Accelerator (DWA) is a 4-week cohort-based bootcamp where you'll master the DeepCycles protocol—my proven system for sustained concentration and doing deep work well. No lengthy lectures about focus theory. No passive learning. Instead, you'll practice deep work on your actual projects while learning the principles that make it work.
You bring your own projects into every session:
That presentation you've been putting off
We'll break it into focused sprints that make it manageable, not overwhelming.
The article you want to finally finish
Use proven deep work techniques to push past resistance and complete it.
The code, research, or side hustle you've been avoiding
Apply structured focus sessions to tackle what feels too big to start.
Unlike most courses, Deep Work Accelerator doesn't give you homework to stack on top of your already busy workload. Instead, you're tackling your most important projects while developing the lifelong skill of deep focus. The ROI is immediate: you get meaningful work done during the training itself.

Why DeepCycles Works
DeepCycles is the protocol I developed for doing deep work well. DeepCycles utilizes a combination of proven strategies, including deep work principles, Pomodoro Technique, Ultraworking's work cycles, intention-setting, Smart Breaks, noting + labelling, body doubling, distraction management, and more. Combined, it's like rocket fuel for work.
Enhancing Concentration
Allocating specific, short timeframes to tasks minimizes distractions and heightens concentration, with the ticking clock acting as a constant reminder to remain focused.
Preventing Burnout
Incorporating regular breaks combats mental fatigue, ensuring sustained high performance without overwhelming the brain.
Combatting Procrastination
The protocol promotes task initiation by breaking work into manageable segments, making daunting tasks feel more approachable and reducing hesitation to start.
Building Accountability and Motivation
Completing each work cycle offers a sense of achievement, fostering motivation and creating a structured environment that encourages responsible time usage.
Improving Time Management
Awareness of time allocation is heightened, allowing for better planning and more accurate task duration estimations. This can translate to all sorts of benefits outside of DeepCycles.
Strengthening Collective Accountability
Conducting sessions with peers increases accountability and keeps participants engaged, with the visible presence of others serving as a commitment device to show up and work hard.
Creating Community Support
Unlike other online co-working groups, interaction doesn't end when the session ends. Skills practiced during our guided co-working sessions are discussed and expanded upon in the community so participants can continue to improve concentration outside of sessions.
Easing Notification Anxiety
Group sessions mitigate the anxiety of disconnecting from notifications, providing a shared environment that eases the fear of missing out on important updates.
Feeling Good
After two hours of being untethered from rings, dings, and pings, you just feel good. You got a ton of meaningful work done, your mind is calm, and you're feeling accomplished. And so you want to do it more often. It's motivating. And enlivening!

Meet Your Guide

Tyler Sookochoff
Entrepreneur, Builder, Attention Aficionado
I couldn't sit still for 10 minutes without checking something. Email, Slack, Twitter. My brain always found an excuse to task-switch, even when I had an important project to focus on right in front of me.
As an entrepreneur, I was drowning in distraction and could no longer get meaningful work done. I tried all sorts of fixes: Pomodoro timers, meditation apps, website blockers, online co-working groups, mindfulness practices - you name it, I downloaded it.
Then I discovered something counterintuitive: Deep work itself was the best way to train my attention. Not another app. Not another hack. Just the practice of focusing deeply, repeatedly, with the right structure.
I spent the next couple years experimenting and combining techniques into what became the DeepCycles protocol. The more I practiced it, the better my focus got - and at the same time I was making more progress on important projects than I had in years.
I started sharing online everything I was learning, first through a blog, then a newsletter, then founding the Attentioneering subreddit that's grown to nearly 10,000 members and is the internet's largest community dedicated to improving concentration at work or school.
When I began facilitating online deep work sessions with friends and colleagues, something clicked. They benefited tremendously from the structured guidance and group accountability—achieving focus they couldn't reach on their own.
I realized that information isn't the obstacle to better focus. Implementation is.
People have everything they need to build unshakable concentration on their own, yet they still can't do it.
That's why I created the Deep Work Accelerator: not to give you more theory, but to actually practice together.

Let's Do The Math:
If the Deep Work Accelerator helps you reclaim just 1 hour of truly focused work per day, that's 5 hours per week, or ~250 hours per year.
For a knowledge worker earning $50/hour, that's $12,500 worth of productive time annually. Even at $30/hour, you're looking at $7,500 in value.
But the real ROI comes from what focused work produces:
- ✓The project that gets you promoted
(average raise: $5,000-10,000) - ✓The side business you finally launch
(potential: unlimited) - ✓The certification you complete
(salary bump: 10-20%) - ✓The book you write, the app you build, the problem you solve
This bootcamp pays for itself if you save just 10 hours of wasted time. Most people will save that in the first week of the bootcamp alone.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if I can't even focus for 30 minutes?
That's exactly why you need this bootcamp. Together, we'll build your capacity gradually with structure and accountability. Most people are shocked they can do 30 minutes in Week 1 with the right system in place.
How much time do I need to commit?
The time commitment increases methodically, week to week. In the first week, you'll need to commit 3 hours. By the fourth week, it'll be nearly 6 hours. But remember: almost all of this time is spent doing your actual work, just more effectively. You're not adding work; you're replacing distracted time with focused time.
What if English isn't my first language?
It's not a problem. Transcripts can be provided for the four video lessons. And during our live guided co-working sessions there's actually no talking allowed. So you won't need to say anything on camera or answer questions (I will, however, be providing verbal instructions at the beginning and end of each session, so if this is going to be challenging for you to understand please message me ahead of time and we can discuss options). All discussion happens in the community forum where you can easily use your preferred translation service to read comments and post your own.
What kind of work should I bring?
I cover this in detail in Week 1, but here's an idea: any project requiring sustained focus. Writing, coding, designing, planning, studying, creating. The key is that it should be output-driven (creating something) rather than input-driven (consuming information). Further, you should pick tasks that allow you to single-task for at least 30 minutes. Tasks that require you to jump around from tab to tab and app to app every few seconds are not good fits.
Isn't this just the Pomodoro Technique?
DeepCycles utilizes a combination of proven strategies, including deep work principles, Pomodoro Technique, Ultraworking's work cycles, intention-setting, Smart Breaks, noting + labelling, body doubling, distraction management, and more. Combined, it's like rocket fuel for work. While Pomodoro is part of it, DeepCycles is a complete protocol, adding progressive training, environmental management, and internal regulation.
What if I can't make it to a live guided session every week?
The live sessions are critical—that's where the magic happens. Group accountability creates something special that solo practice can't replicate. These sessions are at the centre of the transformation itself, not optional add-ons. However, if an emergency comes up, I'll have a recording available so you can run through it that week and still do the work. As well, I offer four different live guided session times each week - so if you do miss one, simply join another.
I read the book Deep Work. Why would I pay for a bootcamp like this?
You know how to do it, but have you actually done it? Information is easy to get, you're right. In fact, I've shared most of it in various newsletters, blog posts, and Reddit posts over the years. But it's putting it all together into a cohesive system and actually doing it that's the hard part. In a word: Implementation. That's really what you're paying for.
(Also, the Deep Work Accelerator bootcamp is way, way, way more detailed and structured than Cal Newport's book (which I have read and love! Shoutout to Cal))
Is this the only way to do deep work?
No, this is a tried and true method. A complete system. It will give you a head start. Once you're familiar and comfortable with it, you can tweak it to your liking.
Why do we need to work in groups? I'm used to working alone.
Working alone is fine once you've mastered the skill, but when learning deep work, the group dynamic is crucial. You'll feel accountable to show up and stay focused when others are doing the same alongside you (in the ADHD world, this is called body-doubling and has been well-studied). Plus, the shared energy of people working intensely creates a focus that's hard to replicate solo. Think of it as training wheels—once you build the habit, you can absolutely work alone.

The Secret Hidden Bonus
Here's something I don't advertise upfront: the skills you develop in Deep Work Accelerator extend far beyond your work. In fact, deep work can transform your entire life.
The ability to sustain attention transforms everything.
You'll find yourself present in conversations with loved ones instead of mentally drafting emails. You'll read entire chapters without reaching for your phone. You'll experience movies, meals, and moments fully instead of through the fragmented lens of constant distraction.
When you learn to control your attention at work, that skill carries over everywhere. Better relationships emerge from being fully present. Renewed hobbies flourish when you can sustain interest. A sense of calm returns when your mind stops constantly jumping between tasks.
Life Beyond Work Gets Better:
- ✓Enjoy meals without the urge to check your phone
- ✓Fall asleep faster with a calmer mind
- ✓Stick with hobbies long enough to see real progress
- ✓Listen fully in conversations instead of rehearsing what to say next
- ✓Spend weekends truly off, not half-working in your head
- ✓Remember more of what you read, because your mind stays with the page
- ✓Feel grounded instead of jittery when the world is noisy
